Dr Sez (of Sez the Vet), BSc, BVSc
Renowned lifestyle block veterinarian
Dr Sez is a lifestyle block vet, with a passion for caring for the backyard farm pet.
Born and raised on a lifestyle block, she grew up around goats, sheep, chooks, horses and more, developing a passion for caring for and bettering the welfare of our farm animals from a young age.
Dr Sez initially studied animal behaviour, further fuelling her passion, before returning to New Zealand to become a qualified vet. She now works with lifestyle blocks across the country, offering support and improving education around animal care.
Dr Sez also runs the YouTube channel ‘Sez the Vet’, airing interesting and topical weekly episodes on the health of your farm animals.

Who is The Lifestyle Farming Academy for?
The Lifestyle Farming Academy is for anyone who wants to keep learning and perfecting their lifestyle farming skills. If you want access to NZ's top experts to help you reach your own green dream then this is for you.
How much is it to join the Academy? How will I be charged?
We think you'll love being with us, but we want you to be sure. Give us a try FREE for 30 days, check out what we have to offer. Jump in on our live workshop, check out the courses at your fingertips, and if it's not for you then cancel any time before the 30 days is up. After 30 days you will be charged at $56/month until cancellation.
When you sign up you will get immediate access to all training included in the Academy from the first payment. Unless you cancel your subscription, you will then be automatically charged each month. Your payment will be deducted from your nominated payment method every 30 days.
You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us on [email protected]. As soon as you cancel, you immediately cease to have access to all of your training.
Will my monthly membership fee increase?
Not if you stay a member.There may be price increases for new members as the program changes, updates and continuously evolves.
However, when you join the Lifestyle Farming Academy, you lock in your monthly membership rate for LIFE, provided that you never cancel. If you keep your membership, you keep your price - even if the price goes up for new members. However, if you cancel your membership, or it lapses/fails a payment, you will lose your ‘existing pricing’ rights and will be required to re-join at whatever the public rate is at that time.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. You can cancel your membership at ANY time by emailing [email protected] and your membership will be cancelled within 1-3 working days. There are no minimum membership periods. You can re-join at any time. Note that this is a membership, and just like a gym membership, there are no refunds.
How do I access the training and workshops?
As soon as you sign up, you will be sent your log in details to Academy portal (this usually takes a couple of minutes max). This gives you full access to the portal of training, the ebooks, the calendar of all of the workshops and links. You also have a mobile app that allows you to watch our training on your mobile device. You will need to log in with your own log-in details each time you access your training, using 2-factor-authentication. It is recommended that you save the Academy web page (which has the log in button on it) to your favourites so that it is easy to find next time. You will also be sent a welcome email with the link to your member's area for your reference.
Do I have to become a member to access the courses?
No. You can purchase the online courses and ebooks individually for a one-off fee.Simply go to the 'ALL COURSES' page, click on the course images and you can purchase singular courses individually. Note, if you purchase courses individually, you get one year access to the course. If you join the membership, you only have access for as long as you are a member.
Will I get new courses and content?
Yes. All members will have new live workshops and workshop recordings automatically added to their member dashboard each month at no extra cost to their monthly subscription. New courses and ebooks will be added as they are created.

Really great, love how it is broken into smaller modules and can work on at your own pace. Really helpful tips, especially the visuals or videos attached.
Since completing the course we have added shelter for the flock, a foot trough in the yards and a ramp for getting sheep onto a trailer all which have made it easier to manage the animals.
It's a very easy and informative way to learn a lot about your animals or even if you are considering getting some it will give you a good idea of what to expect.

The course was even better than I had hoped for.
Very easy to follow and quite comprehensive. It covers so much and some topics that I hadn’t though of or found much info on.
Being able to go back and redo parts of the course is very helpful plus the fact that I can go back at anytime and refresh my memory is most helpful…at my age 😊
The course is great for new herd owners and also, I believe that experienced herd owners will find a few things in it that they might have forgotten or not known.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who owns or plans to own cattle.
